Watermelon Nail Design 🍉🍉🍉 Cute Summer Nail Art

Hi guys! Hope you are all doing great! 💜

So a little story behind these nails. My 3 y.o. girl picked nail polishes out of my Orly draw and said 'These will be good, Mummy!' When I asked what would she like me to do on my nails, she replied 'Watermelons!' - her favourite fruit 🍉'OK' said I lol and so here we go - orange and pink watermelons for ya! 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Here is a list of products I used to achieve this look:

  1. UNT peel off base coat

  2. ORLY 'Bling' , 'Beach Cruiser' and 'Tropical pop' (Aussies can get these beauties here)

  3. Whats Up Nails stamping plate B008

  4. Pueen Cosmetics black stamping polish and latex tape liquid peel off & cuticle guard

  5. Seche Vite Fast Drying top coat

  6. Mitty. Salon Series - 9mm detaining brush You can use my discount code URBANNAILART for 10% off at Mitty. shop http://bit.ly/MittyShop

Basic step by step instructions:

  1. Apply your base coat.

  2. Choose the image on the stamping plate and apply stamping polish onto it. Whats Up Nails stamping plate B008. Use the scraper angled at approximately 45 degrees to remove any excess polish off of the image and pick it up with your stamper.

  3. Then carefully fill in the pattern with a thin brush. I used Mitty. Salon Series - 9mm detaining brush

  4. Apply the chosen nail polish for the base until you are satisfied with opacity. I used 'Bling' by ORLY

  5. Protect your skin with latex tape. Pueen Cosmetics latex tape liquid peel off & cuticle guard in my case.

  6. Gently press the image onto the nail making sure to adhere it to the sides of your nail.

  7. Finally, after cleaning up around your nails, apply top coat to seal and protect your nail art. Seche Vite Fast Drying top coat
