I used:

1. UNT Peel Off Base Coat

2. White nail polish

3. PUEEN stamping plate 111 from Secret Garden 01 and black stamping polish 805 'Black Jack'

4. 'Pop Rocks', 'Purple Hooter', 'Shamrocked' and 'Bumble Bee' from Hit The Bottle's 'Jelly Shots' collection

5. Golden shreds nail art decorations

6. Pueen Cosmetics latex tape liquid peel off & cuticle guard

7. Fast Drying Top Coat

Basic step by step instructions:

  1. Apply your base coat. Let it dry completely.

  2. Apply white base colour. Let it dry completely.

  3. While your nails are drying, protect skin around your nails with a coat of a liquid latex.

  4. Apply jelly nail polishes over your base colour. I applied gradients on a diagonal at the top and bottom of my nails leaving a white gap in between them right in the middle of the nails.

  5. Apply a small amount of golden shreds/flakes over the entire nail. The ones that I used for this design did not require for my nails to be tacky or anything, they just stuck to the dry nails with no problems.

  6. Apply fast drying topcoat. Let it dry.

  7. Choose an image on a stamping plate. Apply black stamping polish onto the chosen image and use a scraper angled at approximately 45 degrees to remove any excess polish off of the image and pick it up with your stamper.

  8. With a rolling motion, apply the image onto your nail. I applied my butterflies aiming for the majority of the image to be in the centre of the nail where the white part is.

  9. After cleaning around your nails, seal your design by applying a layer of fast drying top coat.
